Divorce Trial Ends With No Alimony Awarded
After a full day of testimony, a husband’s request that his wife pay him permanent alimony was denied. Lauren was able to successfully argue that the husband had not met his burden of showing that he had a financial need for alimony nor that the wife had the ability to pay it. The husband also attempted to prove that the wife co-mingled her pre-marital assets. Lauren was able to present evidence to prove that the wife had not co-mingled her pre-marital assets and those assets were not subject to distribution by the court.
